From The Filmmakers At Believe Limited
Five women. One misunderstood disorder. Generations of being ignored.
Dismissed tells the stories of women with hemophilia who have been ignored, misdiagnosed, or left untreated for generations. At its center is 15-year-old Isabelle, a rare case who received early care and now advocates for others.
Alongside her are a pregnant mother without a treatment plan, a woman confronting symptoms she’s long hidden, and another left partially paralyzed after being dismissed by doctors.
The film is a call to action for recognition, advocacy, and change.
